Ottawa: Man with a gun to be identified

UPDATE: MALE HAS BEEN ARRESTED.

The Ottawa Police Service Guns & Gangs Unit and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance with the identity of a male seen with a gun in January 2015.

On January 17, 2015, at approximately 9:00am, a man was seen in the area of Woodroffe Avenue and Stoneway Drive. The man was brandishing a gun and pointed it at a motorist. Several calls were received by Ottawa Police. Patrol officers responded, searched the area and did not find the man.

The man is described as Caucasian, early 20s, 5’6″ (168 cm) to 5’9″ (175 cm) with a slim build. He has black spiky hair and was wearing a black coat and grey jeans (see photo).

Arrest warrant issued for robbery suspect Jamie Jackson

UPDATE: SUSPECT HAS BEEN ARRESTED.

The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit has laid charges in connection to a pharmacy robbery and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

On January 22, 2015, at approximately 1:30 pm, a lone male suspect entered a pharmacy situated along the 400 block of Holland Ave. The suspect approached staff and produced an edged weapon. A demand was made for prescription drugs and cash. The suspect fled the premises with a small quantity of each. There were no injuries.

Charges have been laid, and an arrest warrant has been issued for James “Jamie” JACKSON, age 32 of Ottawa. He has been charged with single counts each of robbery, wearing a disguise, possession of a weapon, and breach of probation.

JACKSON is described as being a Caucasian male, with a freckled complexion, 6’3” (191 cm), 190 lbs (86 kg), thin build, with brown hair but balding.(image attached)

Major Crime Unit seeking to identify persons of interest in Ibrahim Yusuf homicide

The Ottawa Police Service Major Crime Unit is seeking public assistance in relation to the homicide of Ibrahim Yusuf, who was murdered on February 6, 2015 at a residence at 181 Forestglade Crescent.

Investigators are looking for assistance from anybody who may have been in the area of Hunt Club Road and Blohm Drive on the morning of February 6th and would have observed a black Dodge Charger traveling at a high rate of speed with three occupants inside. The black Dodge Charger was captured on video at the intersection of Hunt Club Road and Hawthorne Avenue travelling eastbound on Hunt Club Road towards Highway 417.

Furthermore, Major Crime Investigators are also looking for assistance in identifying three individuals who were captured using taxicabs to and from 181 Forestglade Crescent in the early morning hours of February 6th (see pictures and video posted at https://youtu.be/mbeNWgspODw

Arrest warrant issued for bank robbery suspect Mattieu Lance

The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit has laid charges in connection with a bank robbery on March 23rd on Montreal Road and an arrest warrant has been issued for the suspect.

Mattieu LANCE, 23 years old, of no fixed address is charged with single counts each of Robbery and Wearing a disguise in relation to this bank robbery.

On April 9, 2015, an arrest warrant was obtained for LANCE. He is believed to be in the National Capital Region. He is described as being a Caucasian male, approximately 5’8” (173cm), with a slim build. (see picture)

Ottawa: Arrest Warrant for Cody CHAUVIN

The Ottawa Police Central District Investigations Unit and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance with locating Mr. Cody CHAUVIN wanted on a police warrant.

A warrant has been issued for Cody Chauvin, 26, who faces charges of aggravated assault, possession of a weapon and assault with a weapon.

On Monday, April 13, 2015, around 5:15 p.m., a 37 year-old man was stabbed with a sharp object, possibly a knife, in the arm after a dispute resulting from a road rage incident.

A pick-up truck and a Toyota were initially travelling on Rideau Street. It is believed that at the time a third party was involved – a woman cyclist in her fifties. The pick-up driver would have seen an exchange between the cyclist and the Toyota occupants and somehow intervened.

Both vehicles stopped at a nearby parking lot at the intersection of King Edward; during the dispute the male passenger of the suspect vehicle stabbed the victim. As the suspect vehicle left the scene the victim used a tool to damage his car, leaving visible damage to the door post on the passenger’s side.

Ottawa: Arrest warrant issued for Patrick EADIE in a taxi robbery

UPDATE:

 The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit has laid charges against the individual involved in this robbery from March 29th, 2015.

On May 11, 2015, charges were laid and an arrest warrant was issued for Patrick EADIE, age 22. Eadie was charged with a single count of robbery in connection to this investigation. Patrick EADIE is described as being a black male, 6’0″(183 cm), short curly hair (image attached.)

The person identified as a person of interest in the initial release has been identified and has been interviewed by Police.

The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance with the identity of a suspect responsible and a person of interest in a recent taxi robbery.

On March 29, 2015, two males were picked up by a taxi in the Market area of downtown Ottawa. The fares were driven to a building situated at 1375 Prince of Wales Drive. At that location, one male, a person of interest at this time, exited the taxi and entered the aforementioned building. The second male remained behind. He then threatened the driver, punched him, and stole a small quantity of cash. The suspect was last seen in the lobby of the same building.

The Robbery Unit is releasing images of the two males. The first is a person of interest only at this time. He is described as a black male, 6’0″(183 cm). The second male, the suspect in the robbery, is described as being a black male, 25 years, 6’0″(183 cm), short, curly hair (images attached.)

On Tuesday April 7th at approximately 4:00pm an unknown male attended a commercial premise located in the 100 block of Loretta Ave north and spray painted the building.

The suspect is believed responsible for spray painting graffiti on a large area of the building then fled on foot. Please view the attached photo.

Warrant for the arrest of Jody Faucher for fraud incidents

The Ottawa Police Fraud Unit and Crime Stoppers are seeking public assistance in locating fraud suspect Jody FAUCHER (m), 45 years old of Ottawa. There is a warrant for his arrest.

He is believed to be responsible for approx. 50 incidents – and a total of 11 investigative files – related to telephone credit card scams between February 2015 and May 2015.

Faucher targets small businesses that accept over the phone credit card orders and uses stolen credit card. He will typically ask for items to have currency placed in them, such as enclosing cash in envelope with an order of flowers, or, currency to be “baked” into goods (cakes) ordered. He then picks up the item.

He is described as a Caucasian male, 5’6” (168 cm), 180 lbs (82 kg), with short dark hair. His face is also scarred from acne (see photo.)

Ottawa: Jason CHARTRAND wanted for ten break-ins

The Ottawa Police Service Break & Enter Unit and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance in locating Jason CHARTRAND, of Ottawa, who is responsible for 10 break-ins throughout the city.

Jason CHARTRAND is described as a Caucasian male, 38 years old, 5ft10 (178 cm), 165 lbs (75 kg). He has dark brown hair, which was last styled in a faux hawk (see picture).

He is wanted on several warrants. Some of the charges he is facing include Break & Enter, Assault cause bodily harm, Assault with a weapon and more. At one break-in, in March of 2015, he assaulted a neighbour who was trying to prevent a break-in.

If located, do not approach him, as he is considered dangerous. Please call 911.

The Ottawa Police Major Crime Unit is releasing images of a person of interest in the August 23, 2014 murder investigation of Jabeir Jemmie and asking for this person to come forward and speak with the investigators.

The person of interest is described as a Black male, in his early 20s, approximately 6’, with very short black hair.

“The investigation has been working on the tedious and detailed process of identifying and speaking to everyone who has information about the incident or were there that night on Elgin Street,” said Sgt. Richard Dugal, Major Crime Unit. “The male in these images was in the bar at the same time as the victim. He left shortly before the murder. We need to speak with this individual and we are asking for him to contact us. We are also asking anyone who has information about him from the bar or the area that night to contact our investigators.”

“This investigation is very much ongoing and it is only a matter of time before the person responsible for the stabbing is identified” added Sgt. Richard Dugal.

Ottawa: Arrest warrant issued for robbery suspect David English

UPDATE: SUSPECT HAS BEEN ARRESTED.

The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit has laid charges in relation to a recent retail robbery and an arrest warrant has been issued for the suspect.

On July 9, 2015, at approximately 3:00 pm, a lone male suspect entered a drug store situated along the 100 block of Montreal Road. The suspect obtained an item and waited in the cashier’s line. Once at the cashier, the suspect made a verbal demand for cash and insinuated having a weapon. No weapon was seen. The suspect fled the premises with an undisclosed quantity of cash.

On July 14, 2015, David ENGLISH, age 51, was charged with a single count of robbery and an arrest warrant was issued. The suspect currently does not have a fixed address.

Mr. English is described as being a Caucasian male, 6’0” (183cm), approximately 140 lbs (64kg), thin build, blonde/grey hair, balding. He also wears prescription glasses (photos attached.)

Ottawa: Vandalism to 2017 Ottawa Murals

The Ottawa Police and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance with the identity of suspect(s) responsible for ongoing vandalism to public murals in Ottawa.

Since May 2015 an unidentified individual(s) caused mischief to several murals located in downtown Ottawa.

  • Bank St underpass at 417
  • Metcalfe St underpass at 417
  • Bronson at Riverside

These murals are commissioned by the City of Ottawa to celebrate Canada 150 years in 2017. Since then, the murals have been vandalized and repaired several times at a significant cost. The latest occurrence was on July 4th. Investigator believe these incidents are happening overnight. Please view the attached photos.

The Ottawa Police East Division Investigation and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance with the identity of a male believed involved in a stalking incident.

The suspect on a number of occasions approached or followed female staff when leaving from the eatery located in the 1900 block of Portobello Blvd in Orleans. Furthermore, a dark colored 2 door sedan possibly a Honda civic or similar may be associated with the suspect has been reported honking at the victims as he drove by.

UPDATE: MALE HAS BEEN ARRESTED.

Ottawa Police and Crime Stoppers seek the public’s assistance in looking for a wanted male.

On July 29, 2015, at about 1:00 pm, a man entered a jewellery store in the Hazeldean Mall.  He proceeded to a display case, pulled out a hammer and smashed the display.  The suspect took an undisclosed quantity of jewellery.  At one point during the course of the robbery, the suspect displayed a handgun tucked into his waistband.  He threatened to kill a witness if he interfered.

An arrest warrant has been  issued for Robert Webb.   Webb is described as being 6’2”, 240 lbs, blonde hair and blue eyes.  He has tattoos of a snake and initials “BG” on his neck, a tear under his left eye, and a spider web on his right elbow

The Ottawa Police Service West District Investigation Section has issued a Warrant for the arrest of Tyjah SMITH, 20 years old of Ottawa.

He is wanted in relation to an assault on a male that took place on Friday, September 11, 2015 at approximately 1:13am on OC Transpo Bus #95.

SMITH is described as a Black male, 6’2” (188cm) and 198lbs (90kgs) with short brown hair (see picture).

Ottawa: Male accused in break and enters sought following bail violation

The Ottawa Police Service and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance in locating wanted and accused Eric LAROCQUE, 26 years old, from Ottawa.

Eric LAROCQUE is wanted after failing to comply with several conditions of his recognizance of bail. He was released from custody on the afternoon of November 23rd, 2015 and failed to remain in the care of a local facility as ordered following his release.

Eric LAROCQUE is described as a Caucasian male, 5’8” (173 cm), 187lbs (85 kg), has wavy dark hair and brown eyes. He was last seen on the afternoon of November 23rd wearing a green winter jacket, white T-shirt, blue jeans, white shoes and was unshaven on that date (see picture).

Mr. LAROCQUE’s current charges consist of multiple residential Break and enters, Possession of property obtained by crime, Fraud, Theft of a motor vehicle, Theft and failure to comply with a recognizance. Those charges stem from incidents that occurred between July 15th and August 29th of this year in the Central East and Central West areas of the City.

Man wanted following shooting at Montreal Road and Bradley Street

UPDATE: Canada Wide Warrant has been issued for the arrest Adil OMER  for Attempt Murder

The Ottawa Police Service and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance in locating wanted suspect Adil OMER following a shooting on November 21, 2015 at Montreal Road and Bradley Street.

At approximately 10:30pm on November 21st, 2015, the Ottawa Police Service responded to a shooting at Montreal Road and Bradley Street. When uniformed officers arrived they located a male victim who had been shot in the lower leg.

Further investigation revealed that an unidentified black male, in his early 20’s and wearing a suit, had fired multiple rounds from a semi-automatic handgun at the victim while he was trying to run away. The male victim, who is known to the Guns and Gangs Unit, was hit at least once. The victim is not cooperating with investigators and the shooting is believed to be gang related.

OMER is described as a Black male, 32 years old, 6’ (183cm), 205lbs (93kg) (see picture.) He is considered armed and dangerous. Please do not approach him, contact police.
